{hopefully someday soon I'll have some time to write about something other than Karis!}
Karis has officially been out as long as she was in me! Crazy! Some people say that the time goes so fast but honestly I don't really feel that way. So much has happened in our lives in the past 9 months that it seems like much longer! It doesn't feel like "just yesterday." And I'm glad.
At 9 months, Karis is spunky, social, and curious. I'm thankful for a {mostly} happy baby! She is into EVERYTHING!!! I finally got Joshua to fix the cabinet fasteners :)
She continues to love people (not much of any stranger anxiety yet) and especially loves to be with other kids (trying to figure out ways to facilitate this more!). Karis now gives us kisses, slobbery and sweet!
Karis is really starting to enjoy solids (usually twice per day + snacks) and still breastfeeds about 4 times per day. Hoping we can keep that going through cold/flu season! 6 teeth now with more coming it seems. We've also started some more "real" food like cheerios, bananna chunks, grape chunks and bread. Hoping to try more and more with her this month.
Still sleeps 12 hours at night with 2 (short/inconstistant) naps. Not sure if this is my fault or just the way Karis is!? Nevertheless, we are trying to cut back a little bit on our "out of the house" activities to try to help these be a little more consistant for her sake, which has helped some this week.
Karis cruises everywhere and crawls really fast! Not really standing on her own yet. Her energy levels skyrocket when Daddy gets home! Peekaboo is a favorite now and she seems to really be understanding alot more these days. Loves to dance, hide, and be outside!
