This has surely been a month of the unexpected. But that's life, right!?! The Lord has been gracious to us this month and we are thankful for ways He is growing and stretching us in our family.
We had a great getaway to the mountains! It was so refreshing to have uninterrupted time with one another. We worked through a DIY Marriage Retreat which was really helpful to us as we process how the Lord has grown us this year and as we dream towards the future.
Nana and Papa kept Karis for us, THANK YOU! And they got Karis has a new pet fish, Otto.
Joshua flew out for Canada the next day and I went home to help my parents pack up their house. I spent most of my life in this house so you can imagine how much stuff their was to clean out! We also got to celebrate Mother's day in Summerville before heading back to Charlotte. It was a blessed day!

The pool opened, yay!
We sadly found out last week that my sweet Grandmomma Peggy had passed away on Thursday. So thankful for her life! We traveled down again to Summerville/Kingstree to be with the family for the services last weekend. (Need to write more about her soon! She was an amazing woman!)
Most of my free time these days has been spent with my sewing machine. I just love it! I really enjoy learning something new! So far I have made a camera strap cover, a few little bags, a skirt (below), and half-square triangles for a quilt.

This past Monday, we were heading to a meeting across town. We were only about 2 minutes away when Karis got sick all over the car! Well, that changed our plans pretty quick! Poor baby, I've never seen her like that before! Thankfully she is doing better now.
What a month! And we are in the process of trying to close on our Clemson house which has been a little more complicated than we anticipated. We are really at peace about it though! We know He is working this for our good and His glory.
His mercies are new EVERY MORNING, praise Him!
