Joshua and I went this week for our big ultrasound at 17.5 weeks (I'm now just over 18). It was a joy as aways to see the baby together. Overall, everything looks great with the growth measurements, internal organs and limbs. One area that wasn't totally clear was the nose/lip area. This is an area that they scan for common birth defects such as cleft lip/palate. They want to look again at our next visit in a month to get a better picture and know with more certainty if things are developing properly as it is still a little too early to tell.
Please pray that the Lord will continue to grow and protect BabyTimm and help us to trust Him with this precious child. We love our little baby no matter what and we are thankful that the Lord has a unique and special plan for him/her even if we were to find out that there was some type of deformity. Isn't it amazing how your heart can be so full of love for someone whom you've never met!? Pray especially for me that I would not live in fear or questioning but would wholeheartedly trust the Lord (it seems that my emotions are quick to fluctuate!). We are thankful that we can rest completely in His sovereignty and love in the midst of the uncertainty. We are joyful and can't wait to meet this precious child in 5 months, Lord willing! We love you BabyTimm!
